IT'S JUST TOO MUCH EFFORT TO ACT LIKE I DON'T CARE WHEN I REALLY DO.
Atrium Breakroom Murals

In the summer of 2022, my developing art practice unexpectedly moved beyond the canvas and into the workplace at Embassy Suites. After seeing my artwork and recognizing an opportunity to bring that visual language into the hotel, Embassy Suites commissioned me to create a series of large-scale graphic murals for its employee break room and backstage banquet spaces. Working largely outside my regular shifts, I translated my emerging illustration-based practice onto architectural walls, using projected imagery, graphite, and layers of paint to transform functional spaces into permanent works of public art. The commission became an early opportunity to work at a scale and within a setting I had not previously encountered, demonstrating how an emerging self-taught practice could extend beyond traditional studio work and into unanticipated commissioned environments
